サンハウスの伴奏無しで歌う1曲目「Grinnin' In Your Face」に続き、演奏が加わるメンフィス･スリムのカバー「Mother Earth」など古典ブルースを
ハードな演奏で聞かせる序盤から、ジャズ･ロック風で強烈なギター･ソロを聞かせる「Trane」、ブルース・トラヴェラーのジョン・ ポッパーがハープで参加、後半にはヘインズの素晴らしいスライド･プレイも聞ける「Mule」、フリーのカバー曲「Mr. Big」、フランク･ザッパに捧げた「Left Coast Groovies」等全12曲69分収録。骨太のアメリカン･ロックです。
